Family's Favorite Meat Loaf (My Mother's recipe)

Makes 6 servings, total cost $4.35 or 73 cents per serving 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix together in a bowl:

1.5 pounds hamburger

3 slices soft bread

1 cup milk

1 egg, slightly beaten

¼ cup minced onion

1 ¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

¼ tsp celery salt

1 T horseradish (optional)

1 T ketchup

1 T Worcestershire

 

Put mixture in a 8 X 5 loaf pan and top with additional ketchup.  Bake 1 1/2 hours.  Allow to sit 10 minutes before serving.
