The Today Show Grocery Saving Segment

I enjoyed spending several days in New York City this past week as I worked with The Today Show to share coupon strategies with viewers.  The show did a great job putting together a very informative segment including great tips from their "Ultimate Cheapskate" Jeff Yeager.   You can watch the Today video here

I bought Jeff Yeager’s new book, "The Ultimate Cheapskate’s Road Map to True Riches" before I left home and read it before we worked together.  It was a great read, entertaining, and full of really useful information. Most importantly, I enjoyed his unique perspective on how learning how to spend less money can make life easier, happier, and a lot more fun.  I used a 20% off Borders coupon to buy the book (cover price $12.95) but you can also order it from Amazon at a discount with free shipping when combined with other purchases to bring you to the $25 minimum for free shipping.

Get 25 free photo prints at Walgreens when you buy 25

It’s time to get back to blogging!  I’ve missed a week because of travel–certainly not because there is a shortage of deals!

To save on all those photos you’ll be taking this weekend, take advantage of this online photo deal at Walgreens.  You’ll get 25 prints free when you buy 25.  If you pick the prints up in the store, that means you’d save 50% off their regular price of 19 cents a print.  Get the details here.

Print coupons for airport parking

Whenever I travel I park my own car at the airport, but I save money by using the satellite lots near the airport.  Their shuttle buses pick me up immediately and drop me off at the terminal, which is more covenient than parking on-site at the airport and walking all the way across the parking lot to the terminal.

Not only are the satellite rates less expensive, but you can always print coupons for my favorite lots.  And if your lot doesn’t have a coupon available, call the lot you like and ask if they accept competitors’ coupons.  Mine does, so I find the best one available for my trip length and save at least $10 and up to $30 simply by printing one piece of paper. Between business and family trips we save quite a bit over the year.

My favorite site for airport parking coupons across the country is www.longtermparking.com .  Check it out!
