Can I Get Arrested for Using TOO Many Tide Coupons? YES! Read More…

Is it possible to get arrested for using too many Tide coupons? YES, if you do it the wrong way.  Read more here:

We all love Tide coupons! Find out how these women illegally used Tide Coupons to make $20,000 +  and now are being arrested!

According to the article from couponsinthenews.com – the women, who worked for Albertsons at the time,  made illegal copies of Tide coupons. When they got to checkout, they would have a negative balance on their transaction – meaning Albertsons technically owed THEM that money. They would apply that overage to Visa/Mastercard gift cards to avoid taking cash and calling attention to themselves. When the women were eventually caught – it was estimated that they had made $21,000 since April 2017 with this scheme. The incident report does not state what the value of the coupons were, nor does it mention whether or not the photocopies were made of real or counterfeit coupons.

Using legitimate Tide coupons will not get you arrested – but these women broke the law and now face up to 10 years in prison!

HACK: Get Free Groceries EVERY DAY

At Coupon Mom we track the best grocery deals across all stores and match them with either printable coupons or newspaper coupons. When these sale items are combined with coupons and possible cash back offers, you can save almost 50% on items.  But why stop there when you can get free groceries EVERY DAY. Follow these steps below:

  1. Go to our Free Deals List which shows you the “Free with Profit” items across all stores.
  2. Once you find a deal at one of your stores, click on the store name in the first column to go to the full deals list for that store
  3. Check to see which grocery items your store has on sale that week.  If you are looking for something in particular just select your State from this list, and then enter the item you want into the search box.
  4. Go to that stores full list of deals and then look for items that are free, or free with a “profit.”  These items will be at the very top of the list.

In many cases, the “profit” from a few items will be enough to cover the cost of other deals that aren’t free. Let’s look at an example that is very typical:

Store A has Brand X shampoo on sale and Brand Y toothpaste on sale.  After combining coupons and cash back offers, the shampoo will give you a profit of $2 and the toothpaste will give you a profit of $1. Even if you don’t need or want the shampoo/toothpaste, you can buy it and donate it to charity or give it to a friend.  You keep the combined $3 profit, and apply that towards the cost of your low cost grocery items.  So if you need bread ($1.50) and cereal ($1.50) you can apply that $3 profit from the shampoo/toothpaste to get those items free.

This “buy it even if you don’t want it” strategy can work for any item you need to make it free.  So check the Free Deals list on the Coupon Mom site each week and see which stores have items that are free with a profit.  Check the store’s full deals list and see if your favorite items are on sale with coupons too, and buy the profit items to cover the cost of the items you need.

5 Things to Always Buy at Dollar Stores

We all love dollar stores especially when you need last minute items! Are you buying these 5 things below at dollar stores or are you overspending on these items elsewhere?

1. Balloons

Whether you need balloons to throw a party or for another special occasion this is the place to get them. Grocery stores can cost up to $5 per balloon and that can add up. For the cost of 1 balloon at a grocery store you can get 5 at a dollar store for the same price so that’s a no-brainer.

2. Wrapping Paper

We need wrapping paper for multiple occasions throughout the year whether it’s a birthday or an anniversary. It’s good to keep a pile in stock especially for $1 a piece. There is no need to rush to the store to grab some worth $5 when you can just keep a handy stockpile of wrapping paper for just a $1.

3. Seasonal Decor

Dollar stores always have aisles of seasonal decor. Buy a lot or just a few to put around the house and when you don’t need it anymore pack it up or toss it out and it only cost you a $1.

4. Office Supplies

Paper clips, pens, pencils etc. Some of your office supplies can add up when you purchase them other than at a dollar store.

5. Plastic Utensils

Great to have when planning parties. They make for easy clean-up!

Dollar stores have a variety of items to choose from but on your next shopping trip go ahead and pick up some of these items so you have them in stock. Here at Coupon Mom, we have a list of other great stock up items at Dollar Tree so check it out. We also match coupons to your local store and you can also print free coupons everyday to save on upcoming deals!

5 Things to ALWAYS Buy at Walmart

Walmart is known for having “Everyday Low Prices”  but what exactly are the must buy items there? Here is a list of 5 things to ALWAYS buy at your local Walmart:

1. Legos

Prices on Legos beat out Target and Toys ‘R’ Us. Kids play with these for a couple of years and then they sit in a box in storage so don’t overspend on these building blocks.

2.  Disposable Razors

Razors beat out the competition of drugstore prices by almost 50%. At this point why buy your razors somewhere other than Walmart?

3. Name Brand Snacks

Save money on the brands you trust–General Mills, Kellogg’s, Quaker and so many more. When you combine our printable coupons with cash back offers, some of these name brand snacks can even be FREE.

4. Name Brand Laundry Detergent

With brands like Tide, Arm & Hammer, All or OxiClean, Walmart saves you the most money when purchasing detergent. Some of these detergents can also be free when you purchase it with free + profit items!

5. School Supplies

Buying back to school supplies can be pretty pricey but Walmart, compared to competitors such as Target or Staples, offer the best deals.  When school supplies hit rock-bottom prices in July/August, stock up for the entire year.

Next time you need any of these 5 items, make sure to get them at your local Walmart. Here at Coupon Mom, we match the Sunday coupons to your local stores. Check out the great deals we have right now at Walmart. We also provide free printable coupons that help you save hundreds on everyday items.
