Top Ways to Save MONEY at Walgreens

Shopping at Walgreens regularly can help you save a ton of money! Walgreens has excellent savings and rewards programs to help you save the maximum amount on your purchases. With all of the different programs they have – it can be difficult to keep them all straight, so here is a quick and easy guide on what to look for at Walgreens to save top dollar!

  1. Always match coupons with sale prices!

Step one to saving is coupons! If you are an avid couponer or just starting out – couponmom.com store deals lists are the BEST resource. We match coupons and sale items daily to bring you the most accurate and up to date savings information – check out the Walgreens store deals list HERE.

2. Sign up for Balance Rewards

Saving money is as easy as entering your phone number. TAKE ADVANTAGE of the Balance Rewards program! You will be eligible for Everyday Points, Bonus Points, and Instant Savings on your purchases! Points can be redeemed like cash on future purchases!

3. Sign up for Beauty Enthusiast

If you buy Hair Care, Oral Care, Cosmetics etc. – you MUST sign up for Beauty Enthusiast. You can do this by asking you cashier at checkout to make sure you are enrolled. It pays to be signed up – you’ll earn 5000 points (worth up to $6.25) when you spend $50 on personal care products!

4. Look for sale items that have a coupon AND a Bonus Point promotion or Register Rewards promotion

When you are planning what to buy – try and plan your items when they are on sale, have a coupon, and an additional promotion like the Bonus Points or Register Rewards. Bonus Points come in different values and can be identified in-store on the Green Sale tags. An example would be – “Buy $15 of Pampers – Get 3000 Points.” These points are stored in your Balance Rewards account and can be redeemed like cash on future purchases.

Register Rewards are coupons that print out after you make a purchase. An example of a Register Rewards promotion would be “Buy 2 Crest, Get $6 Register Rewards.” Register Rewards can also be used like cash on future purchase but have a 2 week expiration date – so you have to use them quickly before they expire!
