You can buy any combination of participating items to get the $5 off at the register.  The Armour Meatballs are included, so if you buy 10 items included in the promotion and use a newspaper coupon, the package of meatballs ends up being FREE! What is better than a free deal?!  This is a good example of why it makes sense to buy more than one copy of the newspaper, since you can buy multiple packages and use multiple coupons to stock your freezer with free food.  These are great for quick meals, appetizers, and snacks for hungry kids and teenagers.  If you don’t eat these, it is a great item to donate to local food pantries with freezer space.  

Here’s a tip for managing your Mega promotion purchases that I always do–I keep track of the number of participating items as I shop to make sure that I get items in multiples of 10.  You can get $5 for every 10 qualifying items that you purchase, so if you get 20 or 30, you’ll get $10 or $15 off at the register.  These Mega promotions are  better than automatic rebates because you get the savings immediately, rather than getting a coupon to use on your next order.  As you shop, you’ll see many unadvertised Mega promotion items and most of them do not even require coupons.  So bring a pen or pencil, a piece of paper, and keep track so you won’t miss out on any savings.
