Most Walmart shoppers know that Walmart matches advertised prices of its competitors, but did you know that Walmart will also price the online price of an item at a competitor’s website, including it’s own Walmart.com?  The customer has to prove there is a lower price.  If you use the Savings Catcher tool on the Walmart app, it will also find the competitor’s lower price to refund the difference in your Savings Catcher app.  However, getting the discount upfront before buying the item makes the most sense.  Here are details from the Walmart website:

• The price at Walmart.com will be matched

• The item must be currently in-stock at the online retailer’s website
• We reserve the right to verify the price of the identical, in-stock item at the online retailer’s website (i.e., size, model, quantity, brand, color)
• The Store Manager has the final decision for matching an online price
• Where applicable, Walmart reserves the right to limit quantities and to exclude dealers 

We do not match:

• Membership clubs and Auction sites (e.g. eBay)
• An online price that cannot be determined independent of other items, fees, or charges
• Percent off or dollar off if the price cannot be determined independent of other items, fees, or charges

• Bundle offers, Instant Rebates, Mail-in Offers, Offers that include financing
• Clearance, Close out, Liquidation, Special Hour/Flash/Limited Quantity offers
• Damaged, Used, or Refurbished items
• Misprinted or inaccurate prices
• Online price match is not available in Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico
