They needed a scientist to tell us that?

I just came across a recent study that found –are you sitting down?–that coupons make people happy. They should have saved money on the scientific study and just asked us!

The study specifically says that when people were given a $10 coupon for online shopping that their oxytocin levels went up, and stress went down. Apparently the 38% increase in oxytocin was higher than the effect from kissing. I wonder what would happen if you gave someone a $10 coupon while they were kissing? They didn’t cover that in the study.

I’m not sure how much the study cost, but I can tell you that I don’t need a scientist to tell me that coupons make me happy!
