Operation Christmas Child is the world\u2019s largest Christmas project of its kind.\u00a0 Since 1993, the project has hand-delivered more than 86 million shoe box gifts to needy children in more than 130 countries. Samaritan’s Purse uses tracking technology that allows donors to “follow your box” to the destination country where it will be hand-delivered to a child in need.\u00a0 By clicking on \u201cFollow Your Box\u201d at www.samaritanspurse.org\/occ<\/a>, families can register their boxes and find out where in the world their boxes brought joy to children.<\/p>\n National Collection Week is November 14 \u2013 21, 2011<\/strong> when about 3,000 drop-off locations will open their doors to collect shoe box gifts.
